Eco Fashion Line Rapanui Wins Good Business Award

By on October 12, 2010

Go Rapanui go! This quirky and worderful UK clothing line uses organic fabrics to make their apparel, sews their garments in a factory powered by renewable energy in India and maintains fair labor practices. I will sleep a little better tonight knowing that Founders and brothers Rob & Mark Drake-Knight have introduced the world an eco fashion line that truly “gets-in”.

Through surfing they saw and experienced the changing environment and climate at their local beach and as inspired, unemployed graduates in a recession, they took a different path; if you can’t find a job, make one. The aim still is to inform through the brand and mix eco with trend – to make it fashionable for people to go green. Their efforts (they host the national petition for textile eco-labeling)  were rewarded as they won the 2010 RSPCA Good Business Awards and I wish you much continued success!
