Carbon Footprint of Fashion

By on December 30, 2010

The Carbon Trust in the UK has been calculating the carbon footprint of consumer goods and services for years. A bag of potato chips, like Walkers Salt & Vinegar Crisps has a label that shows it’s 75gram of carbon emission – compare this to a flight from Frakfurt to New York with a carbon footprint of 713,000 per person!

Imaging if our fashion pieces had labels on them showing the carbon footprint of the item. Would this change the way you shop?
