“I love knowing that the information we publish and the products we make are actually helping people.  There are so many toxins in our world–being able to spread the word about what these chemicals do to our bodies and offering a healthy alternative is very gratifying,” says Stephanie Greenwood owner of Bubble & Bee Organics. The Utah native started the company with her friend Steve “B” after learning of the hidden ingredients many common cosmetic brands contained. “One thing I dislike about the current cosmetic industry that I find frustrating is “Greenwashing.”  When companies will call something “natural” or “organic” or “green” yet it still contains ethoxylated compounds, synthetic fragrance, phenoxyethanol, and other hidden toxins,” says Greenwood. Bubble & Bee Organic is a pure product line that has grown a reputation for its quality. Recently, I had the pleasure of testing out two of the products from Greenwood’s line. The only warning I have is they can be highly addictive. Below is my review.

Deodorant: First I tried their Pit Putty which I was skeptical about because I have tried other natural deodorants in the past and nothing seemed to leave my under arms smelling fresh all day. I tried this product as soon as I got out of the shower when my underarms where still a little damp. The fragrance of the deodorant is Spearmint and Tea Tree which smells great. What I loved about the fragrance is it wasn’t a synthetic smell it actually smelled like it said it would.  Even though the deodorant looks like your average stick it is a little drier than most.  I found if I rub the product in with my hands like I would with lotion it was unnoticeable under my arms and if it happen to get on my clothing it would  come off with no effort at all. I wore the deodorant to my yoga class and it held up great and I was odor free. I am very satisfied with Pit Putty, but I would like to remind you that everybody’s body chemistry is different and what works great for me may not work the same for someone else. However I  highly recommend giving it a try.

Body Butter: The Body Butter I received was Coconut and Lime, it smelled amazing  thanks to the all natural ingredients such as Organic shea butter, organic coconut oil with retained coconut meat, organic jojoba oil, organic sweet almond oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic coconut extract, organic lime extract which sounds good enough to eat. I received the 4oz. container of this product, that might seem small but it comes in a solid and melts to body heat. Very little goes a long way. What I like is it really made my skin feel soft and the fragrance was very subtle.Once it soaked into my skin it wasn’t oily at all. It also felt good knowing I was using great organic ingredients. As for body butters this has become one of my favorite.

Over all I was very pleased with the products from Bubble & Bee Organics and highly recommend giving this brand a try. Also in the future the company is planning to come out with more facial products, toothpaste and more scents of deodorants.
