Water is something we all take for granted. It’s easy to access and let’s face it most of us have grown accustom to purchasing our favorite brand of bottled water swearing that it taste different then the one sitting next to it. We worry about whether the water we drink has too much fluoride or chlorine in it and if that becomes too stressful of a thought there is always bottled water. However rarely does it cross our minds that the water we use to wash our hands  or bathe in is unsafe.

Too bad that isn’t that case for every country. The issue of water contamination has  become so bad it’s considered a violations of human rights.  According to UNICEF “Water is life, yet 900 million people do not have access to safe, clean drinking water, and 2.6 billion people live without proper sanitation.  When water is unsafe and sanitation non-existent, water can kill.”

The company has partnered with Engineers without Borders USA to deliver fresh water to the village of Gundom.  By donating a dollar for each bottle sold toward the project, the Hydro Bottle has committed to the success of this project by using local labor, local materials, and local management. Once the project is finish it will remain a permanent fixture in the community even after the Hydros-EWB team leaves. Hydro Bottle will also reinvest their profits into developing new filter technologies toward creating  better a Hydros Bottle that will supply clean water to people in need globally.
