Plastic Seconds: Recycled Adornments

By on May 25, 2011

I believe that everything deserves a second chance. In our culture of consumption we need to give non-biodegradable materials a second life — and Plastic Seconds is upcycled jewelry that does just that!

Every day we toss away little unassuming pieces of plastic: bottle caps, pen tops, spoons, tags, toys and more without a second thought. Typically their fate is to sit in a landfill for an eternity, but if you live in Maria Papadimitriou’s neighborhood they just might end up as a unique piece of jewelry.
