Etsy Spotlight: White Owl

By on June 2, 2011

Welcome to the second installment of our “Etsy Spotlights” series here at The Green Stylist. Today I’d like to feature a really beautiful jewelry collection called White Owl.

Started by a sister duo in Detroit, Mich. White Owl re-purposes vintage lace and materials from estate sales and flea markets, mixing old with new to create gorgeous handmade necklaces, earrings, bracelets and brooches. Their signature look involves lace appliques and delicate doilies, creating romantic Victorian looking pieces of jewelry that are lovely enough for modern day wear.

Both sisters have creative backgrounds in art and film, so you can see how their personal taste and artistic eye comes into play when designing for White Owl. There is so much to take in on their Etsy site, whether it’s the amazing photography or the intricate styling details (not just in the jewelry but even in the beautiful backdrops of their photos). You can find them scouring an estate sale or making experimental films together, but this sister duo sure has a knack for creating amazingly unique handmade treasures.

Take a look at some of their collection below:

You can shop the White Owl store yourself here on Etsy. They also have a really incredible blog you can check out for inspiration, giveaways, and lovely works in progress. Stay tuned for more Etsy Spotlights right here on The Green Stylist, and thanks for reading!
