Greg Lauren, studio artist and nephew to Ralph Lauren, has entered the world of fashion design. His first collection was launched earlier this year at Barneys New York.
Made from old military duffle bags, tents, and sailor uniforms, these one-of-a-kind artisan-made jackets are truly unique. The characteristic details from the original pieces are deftly showcased in fine-tailored, classic silhouettes for men and women.
Not just military in style, these materials have all been through a lot. Greg collected it all himself from flea markets and vintage dealers and made each item in his own studio in California. With torn seams, rusty hardware and all Greg Lauren’s line of jackets are a unique homage to the vintage aesthetic and are works of art in themselves.
Although the collection launched in February, you can snag the last few online at Barneys New York, ranging from $1,875 to $3,125. Talent must run in the family.
