When I received my Kjaer Weis makeup in the mail I was immediately impressed with the red lacquered grain-textured boxes…they looked classy and modern.  When I opened them I felt like I was opening a jewelry box or some type of fancy chocolate.  Inside were beautiful metal compacts with the signature white enamel KW logo.  By the time I got around to actually trying out the makeup, my expectations were pretty high…and those expectations were definitely met!

The silver compacts are beautiful and not something I would want to throw out, so I was very happy to learn they were refillable.  Refill pans are available in customized, simple paper cartons that are fully recyclable.

Kjaer Weis make-up is Certified Organic by the CCPB, the Italian organic certifying authority.  In order to obtain this certification, each product must consist of at least 95% of the certifiable organic ingredients.  There are certain raw materials, such as Bamboo Silica, that can’t be certified as organic because they are harvested in a non-agricultural environment without the use of fetilizers, pesticides, etc.  Therefore, the Kjaer Weis eye shadow is “Certified Natural” because of the high levels of the Bamboo Silica.  This eye shadow is the softest, smoothest eye shadow I’ve ever used! My favorite color is the Cloud Nine ($44) pictured below…the color brightens up my eyes instantly.

I also enjoy using the creme blush in Sun Touched ($54) which gives subtle glow to my cheeks…as if I just got back from somewhere tropical or saw the love of my life.

I haven’t had the pleasure of trying out the lip tint yet, but I hope to do so in the very near future.  I love the Sensous Plum tint ($48) featured below.  It would be the perfect mate for a fabulous LBD (little black dress).
