Nixie: Children’s Clothes with a Conscience

By on July 12, 2011

It’s been a while since I discovered a children’s clothing collection that really wowed me, but Nixie is too lovely not to share! A gorgeous eco-couture collection of clothing for girls 12 and under, the entire line is locally sourced and manufactured in London using only sustainable and vintage fabrics. Up-cycling vintage fabrics and combining them with delicate empire waists, loose flowy pockets, and mixed prints, Nixie creates a truly unique couture look for the little girl in your life.

Founded in 2006 by Nicole Frobusch, Nixie was created because Nicole wanted to dress her two daughters, Ivy and Faye, in socially conscious clothing that was high quality, unique from all the mass market producers, and not made by other children in sweatshops somewhere across the world.

You’ll be amazed by the fact that Nixie clothing is 100% recycled when you see the incredible attention to detail that goes into every little creation. Each piece is a wonderful reminder of how you can not only protect our environment from unnecessary waste and chemical dyes by recycling clothing, but also create incredible one-of-a-kind pieces that will be cherished for years to come.
