When I took my first peek at Erin Considine’s jewelry collection I knew I had found something special. Her raw, organic, earthy line of naturally dyed jewelry spoke to me with it’s combination of soothing colors and rusty, recycled metals.
Based out of New York, the young Erin Considine began her journey in jewelry making at North Carolina’s Penland School of Craft. Carefully honing down her craft by combining her love for nature and sustainability with her jewelry (using organic materials such as onion skins, turmeric, annatto, hibiscus to dye the textiles she incorporates into her pieces) she creates a stunningly luxurious organic jewelry line worth swooning over.

Her extraordinary aesthetic and unique eye for combining natural colors and textures into her raw, organic pieces of jewelry transform the beauty of what nature has to offer into wearable art. And to sweeten the deal, we can’t forget to mention the ethical, sustainable message behind all these beautiful pieces of jewelry.
One of my favorite pieces from her Spring/Summer 2011 collection is this Niamh Bracelet made from recycled brass and hand dyed silk boucle. I love the organic, mossy texture of the silk boucle paired with the slightly worn shiny brass clasp.
