For the past few weeks I have been reading the book Thanking the Monkey by Karen Dawn which is about animal rights and animal welfare. I read it whenever I get a free moment.
However my dilemma was, I wanted to carry the book in a nice looking bag because I was meeting a friend at a local coffee shop and then off to a meeting. I did not want to look sloppy or carry two bags. The organic cotton bag I normally use needed to be cleaned. As a result I decided to try one of the Cheeky Green bags I was given at the Magic Convention in Las Vegas. First thing I would like to say is I love the way this bag looks but I have to admit I did not think the bag would comfortably hold my book, note paid, digital recorder and a few other things I normally carry in my cotton bag and purse. Cheeky Green bags are super soft, lightweight and are made of Tyvek making them very durable. They come in various colors and styles making them visually appealing and fashionable. Each bag is designed to fold up into the coordinating and detachable coin purse/cosmetic case/wristlet. What is also nice is they can be folded up and put back in the coin purse it comes with so you can carry it anywhere. I was a little concerned about how much weight the bag can actually hold since they are very light weight and almost seem delicate. All of my concerns were put to rest when I found out the bag are made to hold about 10-25lbs and are waterproof and machine washable. One thing that surprised me is my friend thought it was a new purse I had bought. She had to literally feel the bag to believe what material it was made from. Cheeky Green bags can be used to carry anything from a few books to gym clothes and or groceries. They are a wonderful alternative to using your average bag.
I guess the simple way to sum up Cheeky Green bags is to say purchasing one is well worth the money because it is eco-friendly fashion at its best.
