The Holidays have arrived! And what does one do when they are filled with joy and gratitude – you throw a party to raise money for a cause close to your heart. The spirit of giving and cheer made its way through open doors at a private residence in San Francisco this past Saturday; and in partnership with The Green Stylist, and with kind sponsorship from Art in the Age and Mavae, the Holiday event raised $1000 from guests for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Foundation.
Upon their arrival, guests were asked for their donations in place of a feel-good factor and to sign their name onto an ornament to hang on the Christmas tree, glowing in the living room. Organic spirits were served, with the highlight being a delightfully flavored eggnog cocktail by ROOT from the sponsor Art in the Age. The video above showcases the historical significance of root beer in American culture, which Art in the Age has brilliantly captured in their tasty organic spirit. Also, top donors received water filter from Mavae, made from BPA-free plastic for their contributions.
The Green Sytlist wishes to thank both Art in the Age and Mavae for their kind donations!

It was an absolute pleasure working with and fundraising for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution! The Food Revolution has a mission to teach people how to get “back to basics” in the kitchen with wholesome, healthy food and reforming the school lunch menus in our schools. Without a doubt, our community uprising and amazing supporters. We have received an amazing $70,000+ in public donations and also seen great fundraising initiatives including RecipeDiva who donated $500 following their May campaign where they donated $1 for every new subscriber to their site, Out of the Box Food who donate money bag for every re-useable bag they sell and Crunch a Color who donates money for each game sold. We also have fantastic people across the states who have set up amazing dinner parties with profits being donated to the Food Revolution.
