Stella McCartney Creates Castor Oil Seed Sunglasses

By on January 23, 2012

Stella McCartney has made a huge name for herself in the couture and fashion industry, collaborating with Adidas, Target, H&M, and many more to bring high fashion to all demographics. This time she’s making a name for herself in the eco-fashion world by launching a line of sunglasses made from sustainable materials that sound pretty high tech. Think “injected plastic made from 54% castor oil seeds”, as well as a new version of acetate plastic that is made from “54% natural resources” derived from citric acid.

This is all part of a campaign of hers to make her brand and company more and more eco-friendly. Kudos to Stella! You can look for her eco-friendly sunglasses in stores this coming Spring. For more on the glasses, see the WWD article here.
