Alkemie Jewelry creates Eco-Friendly Rock ‘n Roll Chic Looks

By on April 10, 2012

Husband-wife design duo Ashley Lowengrub and Dara Gerson’s collection of reclaimed metal jewelry, Alkemie, is gaining lots of attention this season with it’s eco-friendly rock ‘n roll chic looks. We featured them on The Green Stylist about a year ago last May, but now they’ve expanded their repertoire and are being featured in the likes of People Magazine, Spanish Vogue, and more!

Each one of Alkemie’s pieces is handmade in Los Angeles and even their leather comes from sustainable cattle farmers. I’m really liking their current collection, a continuation of their constant themes related to nature, animals and the wild. With a blend of leather, metal, and wood, the designs reflect their philosophy of social responsibility and their love for mother nature.

Here are some of my favorites from their collection:

Wolf Ring

Elephant Tooth Necklace

The Alkemie Swallow Cuff

Brown Rooster Feather Earrings

We’re so happy to see their success in the mainstream world as an eco-friendly company and can’t wait to see more of their amazing designs! You can find more Alkemie Jewelry and information on their website here, Alkemie Jewelry.
