Hello,
Our mission is to promote and raise awareness about ecological design relating to fashion, textiles, beauty and jewelry.
The Green Stylist began in 2007 (under the name I Love Eco) while I worked at Textile Environmental Design (a research group at Chelsea College of Art & Design in London, UK). At the time, there was growing interest in eco fashion and green design but I felt that we were only scratching the surface.
I hold a degree in biology, studio art, and fashion design; and I’m currently working towards a sustainable management MBA in San Francisco, CA – yes, I know that’s a lot of school! I hope to use this site to impart my knowledge that I have gained over the years to raise awareness about critical issues within the industry. I want to inspire designers and consumers to make better decisions with their wallets and help promote ecological design so that we can leave the world a much better place than when we entered it.
The tipping point is far off in the distant and before I sound too gloomy, we can all do something about it today. Spread the word about local, sustainable, non-toxic products and services – if you like a product I have found, forward it on to friends.
I would also love any comments or feedback to help make this site a better communication tool for positive change. You can email me at info@thegreenstylist.com.
Best Wishes,
Jules, Founder The Green Stylist

Hello,
My name is Deeana and I’m so happy to be writing for The Green Stylist! I’m so happy to be writing for The Green Stylist! I’m a Los Angeles Native, studied in Ann Arbor Michigan (Go Blue!) and have recently relocated to San Francisco. I love everything about this beautiful city. Aside from learning about Eco Fashion and its place within the green movement, I enjoy live music, the arts, and practicing yoga in my free time.
Thanks for reading!
Deeana
